Don’t believe in love at first sight? Well, you might want to sit down and talk to Krystal & Matthew. They thought marriage wasn’t written in the cards for them. But a mutual friend introduced the two, and the moment Matthew laid eyes on Krystal he knew she was it. They connected as if they’d always known each other.
Krystal and Matthew had originally planned to exchange letters on their wedding day. But as the wedding approached, things became more increasingly busy and nearly impossible to find time to sit and write them. They agreed they would pass on the letters. But Matthew decided to surprise Krystal and wrote her one anyway. And what a wonderful surprise it was. The letter, so sweet, brought Krystal (and all of us) to tears. We couldn’t even get mad at Matthew for making Krystal get her makeup redone.
A love so beautiful deserves a wedding to reflect it. Beautiful arrangement of florals, carefully selected details, an amazing venue, all perfect ingredients to one of the most gorgeous weddings I’ve had the privilege of photographing. The Hilton‘s beautiful floor to ceiling windows, with views overlooking the Mississippi River, created a bright, dreamy ceremony location. And their downstairs ballroom made for a sophisticated, elegant reception setting. Krystal & Matthew’s cake was a sight to behold, towering at several feet above us. The groom’s cake was also spectacular with an elaborately made, edible fish. The Hilton‘s catering provided delicious food that had us all stuffed and wishing we could’ve had to-go boxes.
It was an amazing wedding for an amazing couple.
Congratulations Krystal & Matthew!
